GEAR UP New Hampshire
GEAR UP NH was a federal grant program designed to help students prepare for and succeed after high school. Participating students received services ranging from academic support, career exploration, and college planning.
GEAR UP New Hampshire served approximately 4,000 students across 15 middle schools, using a cohort model following current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students through their first year of college.
Regardless of the cancellation of the grant, GEAR UP New Hampshire continues to offers scholarships for eligible students who remain in state for college!

GEAR UP New Hampshire Scholarship
The GEAR UP New Hampshire Scholarship is designed to help our students pay for college while remaining in state. Funds may be used for tuition, room and board, textbooks, and related expenses at a New Hampshire college or university.

To qualify, students must:
- Have earned a high school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at a New Hampshire college or university.
- Be eligible for federal student aid and have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The estimated average total scholarship award will be up to $7,000 per student. The amount may vary from year to year depending on the number of applicants, availability of funds, and changes in federal or state regulations.
